We had supper last Saturday night at the lakeview, they were filled to capacity. Our waitress was very friendly and made sure that our drinks were always full. She made sure our appetizers were brought promptly then brought our salads and fresh warm bread. Our entree was a little slower, but she kept us posted on the progress. Considering they had at least three good size parties we were more than happy with the service. The scallops and steak we had were cooked to perfection.

growing up, i used to LOVE Lakeview on the hill in Frenchville............the last two times i've been there, i've not been happy. last time i had fried clams. They came as one large mucky claim all fried together and when i broke it up, i had a bunch of wet batter dipped clams in my plate. I asked if they could cook them better and they brought me back a dish of dried our fried batter.............discusting. Prior to that i had ordered prime rib. it was so thin, i thought i could see through it. like a slice of roast beef. not happy at all with Lakeview and with such a great sporting club restaraunt down the street, can't imagine why anyone is dining here anymore.

A recent shift in operations has changed my opinion of the lobster rolls which is really all we go there for. In general the food is quite good and staff friendly, however, is not the upscale restaurant management is trying to make it out to be so prices are now higher but nothing else seems to have changed. Still a decent spot to grab a meal tho

This place is surprisingly good. You might not expect a restaurant this great in Saint Agatha, ME, on a lake in the middle of nowhere. Everything we had was terrific. Is it as good as places on the coast, yes, and better than most. For instance, not only are the fried clams perfect, but the French fries that come with them are homemade and outstanding. You can get a nice dinner salad with great dressing and a loaf of warm bread to accompany your meal rather than the typical little cup of coleslaw and boring white dinner roll that you get at most places. Given the quality of this place, I expect you are safe ordering anything on the menu.

I stayed at Lake View this summer for a wedding and couldn't have been happier with the quality of the breakfast buffet. I don't make a habit of eating at buffet's these days largely because I am always disappointed with the quality of the food. I am pleased to report that I did not have that problem at Lake View. It was clear that instead of someone warming up vats of breakfast like items Lake View actually had someone cooking real food. The staff was very friendly though admittedly seemed a bit stressed by the large number of wedding guests that decided to get breakfast at the same time. However, they did their best to keep the coffee flowing and address any issues. The eggs were fluffy, the potatoes were fresh and delicious and the breakfast meats were some of the best I've had at a restaurant in a long while. All you really need to know is great breakfast at a great price.

Went there in last week, 6-24-2010. The scenery was very beautiful. Good lake view from our booth. The best steamed clams I ever had. The lobster was just incredibly delicious, a 3.5 pounder ! The salad was pretty good. The Black Bear beer was also good. My colleagues liked the Ribs and Steak. If you happen to be nearby Madawaska/ME-Edmundston/Can area, this will be a good place for dinner. You might run into a moose or two. So drive safely !
